UNICUM is all about unique characteristics. Every Great Old One & every Story of H. P. Lovecraft has special defining qualities that distinguish it from other concepts.
In UNIKUM – H. P. Lovecraft Edition is about the uniqueness of the cosmic horror in Lovecraft’s universe. Each Great Old One and each story by H. P. Lovecraft has something that represents horror in its own special ghastly manner. You must identify these qualities and argue that its card deserves to be entered into the Circle of Unique Cosmic Horror.
In addition to this common task, you also accumulate individual points by correctly estimating the cards and the other players.
Agree on whether you want to play with the Great Old Ones or H.P. Lovecraft stories.
Then shuffle the deck and place 9 to 14 cards (according to the number of players) face-up in one half of the table. Cards in this half of the table are the Candidates. The player have to argue about these candidates in the course of play.

Yo tampoco. Parece un juego para personas civilizadas del que nos separa un gran abismo cultural. Las personas civilizadas discuten con argumentos.
Discutir, por definición, ¿no es levantar la voz más que los otros? 
Creo que para eso está este

Pues es una pena que no haya más juegos así. (de dialogar, me refiero)
Yo recuerdo como una de mis mejores experiencias de tablero un "Republic of Rome" antológico... También volaban los cuchillos, como debe ser, pero hubo muchos argumentos, mucha labia, locuacidad, picardía, dialéctica y retórica. Una gozada.
Al final el senado fue invadido por el populacho harto y descontento que pasó a cuchillo a todos los senadores y perdimos todos la partida... Vamos, lo normal en el RoR.
Estos juegos hay que saber jugarlos también, conozco a gente enemistada desde hace 20 años por alguna que otra partida de Machiavelli...
Otro gran juego. Y sí, hay que tener cuidado, unos conocidos míos casi pierden la amistad por una partida de "el Golpe" ("Junta")
Por cierto que argue es discutir, no argumentar, lo que hace el juego sin duda más interesante.
Discutir... y debatir, razonar e incluso sostener que.
Por cierto, que yo juego bastante así hasta al Monopoly, poniéndole mucho teatro y construyendo infraviviendas de infralujo, y mis amigos me aborrecen y ya no quieren jugar conmigo. :(
